Jaime Winstone in Sex With A Stranger at Trafalgar Studios

Sunday, 18th Dec 2011

Russell Tovey and Naomi Sheldon Also Star in the Stefan Golaszewski Play During February 2012

It has been revealed that Trafalgar Studios in London’s West End will be welcoming a film star to its stage in 2012 as Stefan Golaszewski’s “Sex With A Stranger” opens with Jaime Winstone in a lead role. She will be starring alongside Russell Tovey and Naomi Sheldon throughout February and the move will mean audiences can witness a union of talents from the BBC’s “Him and Her” (Tovey stars in the show and Golaszewski writes for it).

Jaime Winstone is known for appearing in numerous movies and television shows (in addition to being the daughter of actor Ray Winstone) and as such she has numerous credits to her name. Her best known film role is “Kidulthood” from 2006 though she has also appeared in the movies “Donkey Punch” and “Made in Dagenham”. For television screens, London theatre audiences will perhaps recognise her from the likes of Zombie series “Dead Set”, “M.I.T.: Murder Investigation Team” and “Agatha Christie’s Poirot”. For the stage she appeared in “The Fastest Clock in the Universe” at the Hampstead Theatre.

Russell Tovey, meanwhile, is best known for his work on the television series “Being Human”, though he also has his fans from the show “Him & Her”, where he previously worked with Stefan Golaszewski. He also has numerous stage credits, some of which are from the Olivier National Theatre such as “Henry V”, “His Dark Materials” and “His Girl Firday”, in addition to “The History Boys” at the Lyttelton National Theatre, as well as “The Sea” at the Haymarket Theatre and “A Respectable Wedding” at the Young Vic Theatre. Meanwhile, for film he has appeared in “The History Boys” and the upcoming “Grabbers”.

“Sex With A Stranger” tells the story of Adam who is controlled by his girlfriend and who has found himself in somewhat of a rut. He manages to get away from her on a night out during a friend’s birthday, but whilst there is runs into someone with a testing temptation.
