Synopsis

The Ambassador’s Theatre is the ongoing home of “Stomp!” in the West End and this Christmas it will also be opening its doors to a seasonal show to see in the Christmas with style. For audiences between the ages of 2 and 8 there will be no better opportunity to celebrate the season than witnessing “Santa Claus and the Christmas Adventure” when it opens its doors in November. The show will boast a stand-out story featuring Santa and his elves, plus illusions from the famous magician Paul Daniels - a winning combination that will make this a Christmas to remember.

The story takes audiences to the night before Christmas when Santa is preparing to make the big delivery to children around the world. After a year of toy making and compiling his list of good children and naughty children everything is now ready to go, with the Reindeer Sat-Nav programmed and the presents stacked high. But there’s a problem; Rudolph is nowhere to be found and all of the elves are misbehaving. Santa’s got his work cut out for him if he wants to deliver the presents on time.

The show will see children helping Santa save the day and there will also be an opportunity to meet him after the show.

The production appears in town during a time in which plenty of Christmas shows are appearing in the West End, proving that the capital remains the best place to witness high quality entertainment all through the year. After all there are appearances from traditional shows like “The Snowman” and “The Nutcracker” alongside the more recent annual production of “The Gruffalo” and also “Christmas with the Rat Pack” so there’s plenty to choose from and something for all ages.

Magician Paul Daniels is a familiar face to London theatre audiences following his decades-long career in the spotlight that has included television appearances (“The Paul Daniels Magic Show”, “Strictly Come Dancing”) and live performances (“It’s Magic” at the Prince of Wales Theatre in 1980 and “Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow” at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011). He is a high quality, experienced entertainer with a lot to offer in this Christmas spectacular.

“Santa Claus and the Christmas Adventure” runs at the Ambassador’s Theatre from Tuesday 29th November 2011 to Saturday 31st December 2011.
