Synopsis

The Trafalgar Studios 2 in London’s West End regularly welcomes some thought-provoking and moving shows and this tradition is set to continue with “Belongings”, which transfers to the venue following its run at the Hampstead Downstairs Theatre. The show originally featured Calum Callaghan, Kirsty Bushell, Ian Bailey and Joanna Horton, with Maria Aberg as director, and these players maintain their presence in the show upon its transfer.

The plot focuses on a young soldier returning from combat in Afghanistan where she must face a new kind of battle at home. There are the tensions within her family, the old flame and the betrayals of the past and all of these force her to consider her place within it all and to wonder where in the world she can call her home.

Calum Callaghan is one of the actors heading to the production and he has previously starred in West End hits like “Les Miserables” (when it appeared at the Cambridge Theatre), in addition to “Chatroom/Citizenship” at the National Theatre and “Whistle Down the Wind” at the Aldwych Theatre.

“Belongings” makes its appearance at Trafalgar Studios 2 from Tuesday 21st June 2011 (with previews from Thursday 16th June 2011) until Saturday 9th July 2011.
