Synopsis

Sharon Owens and Sebastian Anzaldo have both managed to embark on impressive careers as Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra impersonators, both on solo stages across the United States and as the duet “Barbra and Frank – The Concert That Never Was” in Las Vegas and beyond. Now this show makes a welcome appearance on a stage in London in a show that is likely to impress audiences on this side of the Atlantic and prove what a spectacle it would have been had Streisand and Sinatra appeared together. So from November, fans of the icons will be flocking to the New Players Theatre to witness the spectacle in person.

Barbra Streisand has released a countless number of albums during her career and as a result she is held in high regards as one of the most successful artists of the 20th century and beyond. Not only has she held some enviable chart positions and performed on stages worldwide, she has also managed to carve out an impressive screen career with movie and television appearances.

So impressive is her time in the limelight that there are few musicians who can boast to a similar career. But one of the few performers who could be compared to her is the late Frank Sinatra, whose career also featured classic albums, movies and awards, in addition to spectacular and unbeatable stage appearances. His achievements have made him into one of the most famous icons of the 20th century and one whose name will be familiar to audiences well into the future.

And with Sharon Owens and Sebastian Anzaldo audiences have a real treat. As Sinatra passed away in 1998 there is no chance of him and Streisand coming together to perform onstage and so it is up to these renowned an impressive tribute artists to deliver us the hotly sought-after display. They have already turned heads in Las Vegas and beyond and their appearance at the New London Theatre is destined to be met with unanimous praise and lasting memories.

So make sure you witness the spectacular tribute to Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra as “Barbra and Frank – The Concert That Never Was” arrives at the New Players Theatre on Wednesday 24th November 2010 and runs to Saturday 18th December 2010.
