Synopsis

Since they wowed audiences at the Eurovision song contest in Brighton back in the 1970s, ABBA have been a guiding light on the music scene, continuing to be enjoyed by new generations of music lovers and providing influences for a range of groups that have stepped into the limelight since.

Their popularity was cemented once again recently by the worldwide success of the movie musical based on the hit West End show. An original plot amplified by the songs of ABBA, “Mamma Mia!” became a box office phenomenon and will undoubtedly keep the ABBA magic alive for many years to come.

Now, ABBA fans have something new to be happy about as ABBA World receives its world premiere in the Museum Hall of Earls Court in London. It will be an unbeatable opportunity to experience the magic of ABBA in an interactive exhibit featuring 25 rooms packed full of memorabilia, images, footage and music, with interactive elements along the way – all of which has been approved by Benny, Agnetha, Björn and Frida themselves!

When you first enter the exhibit for your day out they will first be greeted by an introductory video that has been put together by a renowned film director, which will engage you and get the experience off to the best start. You will then be given free reign as an audio guide helps you through the 25 rooms and gives you a unique perspective on the background to one of the most influential pop bands of all time.

Included as part of the exhibit are interactive elements such as a 3D holographic illusion that allows you to get on stage with your pop idols. You can also take part in the ABBA Quiz, an ABBA sing-a-long, take part in an ABBA video and remix your favourite tracks as part of the “Tretow MIX Challenge”. At the same time, a photo snapped as you enter the exhibit will allow your image to appear on ABBA album covers and more.

No fan of the ABBA World experience will want to miss the show at Earls Court. Even Frida, from ABBA, is looking forward to the event, saying that the whole group supports the endeavour: “We are delighted to be part of ABBAWorld and to have the opportunity to share our amazing experiences with our fans. The interactive elements mean this is the first time we can actually take them on the journey with us.”

So make sure you get your ABBA World tickets right away as you can experience the delights of “Waterloo”, “Thank you for the Music” and more in a new way at the Museum Hall, Earls Court from Wednesday 27th January 2010 to Sunday 28th March 2010.
