Miss Polly Rae Tickets

Miss Polly Rae brings her unique showcase of burlesque and great entertainment to the Leicester Square Theatre this summer with her gang of performers, known as the Hurly Burly Girlys. Celebrated as a ‘queen’ of Leicester Square by her own press articles, this brilliant entertainer will be showcasing what has made her a highly sought after performer with evenings of guest artists, unique entertainment, song and theatre.

It has been quite a path for Miss Polly Rae, having got into the world of entertainment having spent many years wondering what to do with her life. It seems fitting that she would therefore become a star of the London stage scene. With no formal training and qualifications she managed to build up a show from scratch, which has managed to build up a following after appearing in various venues, including the Soho Revue Bar and others. She hails from Lancashire and managed to see the world whilst working as a beauty therapist onboard a cruise ship. But she found herself back in London when she realised it was about time she set her sights on following her dreams.

So she discussed creating a burlesque show when she met with Jo King from the London Academy of Burlesque. This was three years ago, back when she held auditions for the team that would become the Hurly Burly Girlys.

Amongst her girls is Miss Laurie Hagen, who is a Belgian performer who has also appeared on a variety of television shows, which include The Royal on ITV and Broken News for the BBC. Then there are the rest of her performers, all appearing with an array of theatre experience, as well as many other titles to their name. The rest of the Hurly Burly Girlys are made up of Felicity Splits, Miss Rosy Cheeks, Betsie Bon Bon, Liberty Sweet, Ooh La Lou and Lady Katy.

There will be a variety of performers appearing on each of the nights at the Leicester Square Theatre, so make sure you check who is on before setting your heart on a night and booking. Miss Polly Rae will not be appearing on 5th June 2009, whilst Frisky, Mannish and Stewart Pemberton appear on 29th May 2009. On the 12th June 2009 and 19th June 2009, Dusty Limits, Frisky & Mannish and Frank Sanazi will be appearing.
