Synopsis

London audiences will be given the chance to witness the performing talents of Barbra Streisand and Liza Minelli in a way they have never seen before this June. Stepping up to the microphone will be internationally renowned impersonators Steven Brinberg and Rick Skye in Barbra and Liza Live!

Streisand and Minelli have followers worldwide and perform musical numbers that leave people speechless. So who better to portray their musical styles than two of the best impersonators in the world?

Steven Brinberg steps into the shoes of Streisand following an extensive career of performing in the show Simply Barbra. He is a singing sensation who has been seen by audiences around the world, including locations down under such as Australia and New Zealand, as well as England and other countries that include Hong Kong and The United States. But he has also worked extensively as a professional performer outside of his disguise as Barbra, appearing at Stephen Sondheim’s birthday concert and appearing at special events in the US. When he appears onstage at the Leicester Square Theatre, he will also be providing keen listeners with stellar impersonations of Cher, Bette Davis, Neil Diamond and Cleo Laine. Audiences will be left wondering what could be coming next!

Meanwhile Rick Skye is in charge of bringing Liza Minelli to the stage, performing her classic songs as well as many others, meaning audiences will be treated to the likes of “Mein Chair”, “Betty Ford”, “Over The Rainbow”, “Cabaret” and “Happy Endings”. Skye is a performer with a long history and has managed to build up an impressive array of awards both on Broadway and in the West End after training under the renowned Joffrey Ballet and Stella Adler. He is recognised around the globe for his performing talents and when he appears onstage as the beloved Liza Minelli, he will inject the show with many of the mannerisms and stories of Liza.

So if you want to enjoy some world class talents taking on the styles of legends, then Barbra and Liza Live! is the best place to start.

Barbra and Liza Live! is at the Leicester Square Theatre from Thursday 25th June 2009 to Saturday 27th June 2009.
