Walking with Dinosaurs - Birmingham Tickets

The Birmingham NIA will soon be transported back to the time of the dinosaurs as Walking With Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular charges in front of your very eyes. The award winning BBC television series is brought to life with fifteen full size dinosaurs roaming the arena in a dramatic and action packed show that is sure to entertain those from all walks of life. Newsweek agrees with this sentiment calling it “that rare entertainment beast that parents and kids can enjoy together”. The New York Times has also pointed out that dinosaurs make “a thundering comeback after 65 million years.” So make sure you catch this beast whilst you can. Chances are you will feel like dinosaurs really have returned to walk to the Earth.

It is also an educational treat. The production shows how the dinosaurs evolved, allowing us to witness the beasts interact, hunt each other and protect their young as predators such as the menacing Tyrannosaurus Rex stalk them. As the show progresses we witness them start from four legged animals to two legged predators. Then the world changes, the Earth splits and evolves itself and we see how each era of the dinosaurs was defined. Witness the deserts of the Triassic Period, the greens of the Jurassic and more as eventually fire ravages the earth and a giant comets strikes the planet…bringing an end to an era of Earth’s history.

Walking With Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular arrives in Birmingham after a successful tour of the US and the original Australian show in Sydney. The NIA is a great venue to catch this show as a massive venue that has housed numerous famous acts since it opened in 1991. It has been the home to many sporting shows including Athletics and has also seen famous faces from the world of music, from Oasis to Coldplay and Destiny’s Child to Sir Cliff Richard and Bob Dylan. On top of this is it an epic auditorium that is necessary to fit the enormous dinosaurs of the past.

Walking With Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular is at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena from Wednesday 12th August 2009 to Sunday 16th August 2009.
