Thriller - Live Tickets

The Lyric Theatre is the home to the musical celebration of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, with Thriller – Live. The famous touring musical has already achieved wide success oversees with shows in Germany, Holland and Scandinavia, along with three previous UK tours. However it will be adding the Lyric Theatre to its list of credits when it opens in January.

There can’t be a person in the world who has never heard of Michael Jackson, with a career that has spanned forty years and a back catalogue of records that have clocked up an amazing 750 million units sold (the album Thriller specifically is still the world’s best selling record of all time). The new show is a theatre event with hit songs from beginning to end.

Songs that you will be treated to in the new show include lots of his classic including “Billie Jean”, “I Want You Back”, “I'll Be There”, “Rock With You”, “Show You The Way To Go”, “Can You Feel It”, “She's Out Of My Life”, “Thriller”, “Ben”, “Beat It”, “ABC”, “Man in the Mirror”, “Dirty Diana” and “Earth Song”. You will be given a spectacle that will live up to the performer’s brilliant live shows.

Derek Nicol, of Flying Music, producer of Thriller – Live points out that the show “is an uplifting, feel-good show with incredible choreography and sensational songs that everyone knows and loves — it's just the sort of escapist entertainment people need to take their minds off how tough life is at the moment,

The show is created by Adrian Grant, the man behind “Michael Jackson – The Visual Documentary”. Directing and choreographing is Gary Lloyd with additional choreography by LaVelle Smith Jnr and Kerys Nathan. The show is made with the backing of Sony BMG Music Entertainment UK and marks the first time Jackson’s has been showcased in a live theatrical production. It is bound to be a treat for all the family.

Thriller – Live is at the Lyric Theatre from Wednesday 21st January 2009 (Previews from Friday 2nd January 2009), continuing to Sunday 12th April 2009.
