Strictly Come Dancing will be showcasing what has made it a prize draw on television when it appears at the Wembley Arena this February. The national tour will also take in Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham and the O2 arena in London. This is a must see show for Strictly Come Dancing fans all over the country and will see some well known faces compete in the contest, hoping for the votes from the thousands of fans in the audience. With the judges in place, you will be able to see for yourselves and decide who is the best dancing team of the evening!
The celebrities confirmed at the time of writing are series two champion Jill Halfpenny, comic Julian Clary as well as last year’s contestants – Gethin Jones, the former Blue Peter presenter and Kenny Logan, the rugby player. They will be given professional dancers as partners and will then perform in front of the judges Len Goodman, Arlene Philips, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood. But the real judges will be you and as part of the audience, you will be deciding who wins or loses. Though to be confirmed, the show is split into two halves, the first forty five minutes will involve the celebs dancing. There is then a twenty minute interval when you will cast your vote! This is followed by the second forty five minutes, during which time the group dance takes place as well as a professional dance. Finally, the winner is announced.
The show, of course, is the stage version of the hit BBC show, the sixth season of which is the most recent and as usual, has the nation glued to their televisions. The show pairs sixteen celebrity contestants with internationally renowned professional dancers. They then learn the great dances, from the Tango, the Mambo, Salsa, Jive to the Paso Doble. They perform in front of the studio audience and the judges, with the winner ultimately chosen by the viewing public. It is a widely popular show presented by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly with judges Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood, Arlene Phillips and Bruno Tonioli.
